At the origin, this camera was built by the ETA brand. During the nationalization of industry after the second world war, in 1946, this brand was absorbed by Meopta.
However, its productions remained under the name ETA.
In fact, on the model “I”, ETA is engraved on one of the serrated rollers. On this model, ETA appears only on optics.
Its production will be limited to two years.
It is about one 35 mm to the format 24x36 with fixed optics, telescopic.
Its optics is an ETA PRAHA - Etar III f3.5 of 5cm
Its viewfinder is clear but skimpy…
The cocking of shutter ETAXA is manual. He proposes speeds until the 1/200 second + B + T.
